WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR LOAN SIGNING

PLEASE READ BEFORE MY ARRIVAL

 

Our Signing appointment will take approx. 30-60 mins. 

 

  • Due to the current situation with COVID-19 we can sign outside if you prefer. Please have an available table and chair(s) to conduct the signing. 

  • Face mask will be required to  

  • Please have BLUE PEN to use for the signing. If you do not have one, I can provide you with a brand new one to keep after the signing.

  • Please review with your CD and/or settlement statement with your loan officer before my arrival, to avoid any surprises. Depending on the title company, you may review and download your documents from Snapdocs. 

  • I have been contracted by your title company to notarize your documents and confirm that you are the person whose name is on the documents. I am not a an employee of your lender or the title company. I will be responsible for witnessing your signature and verifying  your identity. I cannot offer any legal advise or give my personal opinion on the details of your loan. I can only tell you what the documents are. If you have a question about your loan we can contact your loan officer and they will advise you accordingly.

  • Are there any funds needed for closing or are you receiving any money back? Please have a cashiers check (or personal check if advised by Title) available for your signing. You will also need your bank account information if you elect to have the returned funds deposited to your account. 

  • Please have a valid ID (Drivers License or Passport) available.

Are you selling a property

Please view the Real Estate Withholding Certificate​ 593C. This form will need to be completed at our signing. You may need to speak with your tax preparer. I will not be able to assist with this form. You may also review the 2019 Instructions for Form 593-C Real Estate Withholding Certificate for more information
